As part of their global branding campaign “These Projects Are Ads for Creativity”, Vans teamed up with local artist Nawwar Shukriah Ali, a.k.a Bono Stellar, to create a psychedelic world for consumers to enjoy during their commutes, or moments of leisure. Rob Teague, Vans’ global executive creative director, said “… we wanted to … showcase true, physical creativity in all of its forms. So we simply enabled creatives all over the world to make things,”.
Vans fueled excitement with a unique Retail Display that offered fans a sneak peek at their latest creations, and treated audiences at Suria KLCC with immersive experiences along key pedestrian tunnels to generate brand trust.
The transit network was transformed into a mega art installation with kaleidoscopic visuals adorning stairs, escalators, walls, and lightboxes to stimulate the senses.
A colourful train wrap maximised exposure by enthralling road users with the illusion of a travelling billboard. Vans also seamlessly infused their branding inside trains to instill brand recall, and prompted passengers to scan a QR code to learn more about the initiative on the Vans website.
